NEW: Canadian Injury Prevention Curriculum Workshop

cipc-hi-res-largeAre you interested in learning about injury prevention? Would you like to incorporate evidence-based strategies and programs for reducing injuries?

The BC Injury Research and Prevention Unit is offering the Canadian Injury Prevention Curriculum (CIPC) as a two-day workshop this fall.

CIPC is a unique curriculum that focuses on injury prevention theory and practice. The focus of the curriculum is on the epidemiology of injury, the principles of injury prevention, injury data systems, applied research and planning methodologies, and program development and evaluation. The curriculum is meant for adult learners who, because of their functions or responsibilities, are likely to conduct research activities or develop, implement or evaluate programs aimed at improving safety and reducing the frequency and severity of both intentional and unintentional injury.

Date: October 15‐ 16, 2014
Time: 9am‐4pm
Where: BC Children’s and Women’s Hospital
Format: Two‐day workshop
Cost: $200 (includes materials, breakfast and lunch over the two days)

Participants will receive a certificate upon completion.
